Versions

A note on versioning, for both readers and writers: information in all sections of this wiki (including the User Manual pages) should by policy, and usually will, always reflect the system's current production release. SME Server 7.1 was released on 31 Dec 2006. When possible, differences regarding the immediately previous release should be noted in parentheses, or with numbered section headers if the changes are large enough. We want to stay as current as possible, but we don't want to leave large numbers of users behind. It is possible that some material may have become outdated, and will be of the last version for which it was pertinent. Check the page history and last modified date for a page if you're unsure. If you find something that's out of date, please feel free to fix it, or report it to the DocTeam mailing list.
