Warning.png Warning:
Copy the configuration setting to your server as is, do not modify anything as that might harm your installation. To use it to install a package enable it using the option --enablerepo=scl at the SME Server shell.

Below you find the installation command for the Software Collections Repositories repository which can be entered on the SME Server shell.

For SME 9.x 64-bit ONLY

/sbin/e-smith/db yum_repositories set scl repository \
Name 'CentOS-$releasever - SCL' \
BaseURL 'http://mirror.centos.org/centos/$releasever/SCL/$basearch' \
GPGCheck yes \
GPGKey file:///etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-CentOS-6 \
EnableGroups no \
Visible no \
status disabled

After adding it to the database updating the configuration file is required by issuing:

signal-event yum-modify

For example to view changes you can run:

db yum_repositories show scl

The output will be following your smeserver version:

scl=repository
   BaseURL=http://mirror.centos.org/centos/$releasever/SCL/$basearch
   EnableGroups=no
   GPGCheck=yes
   GPGKey=file:///etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-CentOS-6
   Name=CentOS-$releasever - SCL
   Visible=no
   status=disabled
