===Mirrors===

===Supported version===
Hosting of SME Server releases and contribs has been generously been provided by our mirrors

SME Server http://mirror.pialasse.com/releases/10.1/iso/
   −
Information on how to become a mirror and the status of current mirrors is [http://wiki.contribs.org/Mirrors available here]
+
===Install===
 +
See https://wiki.koozali.org/SME_Server:10.1
 +
Includes known issues updating from SME10.0
   −
For a full list of mirrors see http://mirror.contribs.org/mirrors/
+
===NetInstall===
 +
When installing the netinstall ISO, you will be asked some basic questions (check the media, languages, keyboard layout etc.), followed by the question for the location of installation files. The options are CD/DVD, Hard drive, NFS or URL
   −
===iso===
+
When you select the URL option the required URL is provided as a mirrorlist. A mirrorlist of smeupdates is also provided so you do not have to do updates right after install.
To download an iso select the [http://mirror.contribs.org/mirrors closest mirror], the version of SME Server you want, then the iso directory and finally the i386 or the x86_64 directory.
  −
Note that in each repo, there are two ISO images. One is named according to the released version (i.e smeserver-8.0-i386.iso), the other does not provide version information (i.e. smeserver-i386.iso). The non version ISO is the actual file and facilitates rsync updates for the mirrors. The versioned iso is actually a symlink to the non-versioned ISO so people know what version they are downloading. Both will download the same binary data to your computer.

===Torrent - The fastest way to download ===
+
Next step will be to select the packages to install, i.e. minimal environment to get a fully functional SME 10. Failure to do this step, will leave you with a CentOS 7 minimal.
The SME Server 8 ISO CD image is available for download as a Torrent

Unless you know what you are doing do not enter in the partitioning tool, doing so will erase SME preconfigured partitions, and using the auto partitioning option in this tool will give you CentOS default, in other word full use of all disks with LVM without any raid.

Final step will be to start installation.

===Zsync===
+
If you have special needs, or need to fully automatized the installer, you can create your own kickstart script and use it when loading the iso.
When updates become available you will be able to update a previous version of an iso using zsync, run the command from the same directory as your existing iso. zsync uses a control file to determine whether any blocks in the file are already known to the downloader, and only downloads the new blocks. If you don't have a previous iso zsync is still a good option, it will recover an interrupted download.
     −
To install ZSync you need to ensure you have the Dag repositories enabled. See here: [http://wiki.contribs.org/Dag Dag], then issue the following commands:

===Updates===
  −
Upgrading to 8.x from 7.x - Upgrades from unmodified versions of SME 7.x to SME 8 is supported. If you have modified your server by installing contribs or have used any unsupported 'upgrade' scripts, you may have issues and should consider removing any incompatible contribs before upgrading.
