could you explain why you would want to do this, from a brief google it looks like ventrilo is a client voip application

Version

The version used in the How-To seems to be fairly old. The download link isn't working any longer. Does anybody know about William? Is he still active? Guess I haven't seen him round here and the forums that much the last time.

Edit: Seen that he is still active at the forums and as he started this How-To he should get a notification if not disabled by him. So actually I could use the second person instead of the third :-) As the file isn't available at your page any longer and is seems that it was just the original release without modifications (judging by the filename) do you have webspace available to put the new version there? Or is there some other place round here at contribs.org where such files could be hosted? I know that some people have a subdirectory available on the mirrors. Reason for bringing this up is a post in the forums (http://forums.contribs.org/index.php/topic,42651.0.html) where someone downloaded the new version to a PC and then burnt a CD for a file which is about 200KB. Probably because the download link at the ventrilo website links to a php file and gives no direct download link. And there was a second request about Ventrilo today.
