Introduction

If you get a tons of MAILER-DAEMON@mydomain.xx emails, then you want apply this HowTo.

Procedure

  • To stop getting double bounce messages-
config setprop qmail DoubleBounceTo devnull
signal-event email-update
  • If you really geeky Smile You can check the database if you like...
config show qmail
qmail=service
DoubleBounceTo=devnull
MaxMessageSize=15000000
status=enabled
  • Expand only the doublebounceto template....
expand-template /var/qmail/control/doublebounceto
  • Check /var/qmail/control/doublebounceto is set to devnull.....
cat /var/qmail/control/doublebounceto
devnull
  • And restart qmail 'manually'....
svc -t /service/qmail
