Requirements
- Bootable USB Disk - 2GB is sufficient
- SME Image - SME 8 - download it
- USB Disk Creation Software
Note: I'm using Windows 7 - this work on Win7, should work on XP and later
Creating USB stick
- USB Disk In
- Run the Software
- Point to the SME ISO file
Using
In your new Hardware ...
- Boot from USB
- Select Install from Hard Disk
- Choose Partition
- Generally it will be the last partition
- it was /dev/sda1 when no partition, sde1 when I re-installed on the HP Microserver
- I left the path blank
Originally I used pendrivlinux.com, UNetbootin was a lot simpler
with UNetbootin
- USB Disk In
- Run Unetbootin
- Point to the SME ISO file
- Wait that Unetbooting is finished
