Cactus the numbered links on the Known Problems page seem to be not working, also the Synaptic link doesn't yield info pertinent
* Why does my clock run too fast in SME Server under VMware?
If you are testing SME Server on VMware, you may notice the clock doen't keep time accurately. See this bug report for details and a possible fix. 2 Perhaps this might be of use: Synaptic: Clock Running fast in CentOS 4.3 [SME7] Guest
* Boot failure after install if you have enabled hardware raid
There sometimes seem to be conflicts with the SME Server automatic software raid setup in combination with hardware raid. Disabling the hardware raid in your motherboard or controller card's bios is the suggested fix. See these bug reports for details: 3 4
* Booting in SMP mode results in kernel panic with certain hardware
The combination of a 2MB Cache P4 3.0GHZ CPU, and a Giga-byte GA-81848P775-G (Intel 848P chipset) motherboard produces this problem. Other simialar hardware may be affected. If you encounter this problem, see this bug report for a workaround. 5
Thanks for your input on the Scuttle howto! I changed my Kronolith howto accordingly... But these templates seems a little bit complicated. --per 15:08, 12 April 2007 (EDT)
- Thanks for implementing the changes. What do you mean with complicated? I would gladly give you some help if you need to... - Cactus 15:24, 12 April 2007 (EDT)
- Hi Jonathan, thanks for organizing the german pages. Huh, what a lot of work to change the names to the /de-structure! I will do the rest, control the links in the documents and add new pages like the others. But actually, there are a few questions:
- Could you please delete all pages starting with ...Deutsche_Dokumentation... ?
- Layout: I created a template named "Header" with the SME-Logo and Languages with flags. For now, when using the languages function, this is been redundant. My new pages will come without the template. But the old one looks better. Would do you think?
- Categories: Contribs should all have the link to the category contrib, so I have changed my german contribs and will add english versions. But I think one global category with alphabetic sorting is not enough. There should be categories like Collaboration, Configuration, Web Application, Systemtools, etc. --Dietmar Berteld 08:00, 20 April 2007 (EDT)
- Hi Jonathan, thanks for organizing the german pages. Huh, what a lot of work to change the names to the /de-structure! I will do the rest, control the links in the documents and add new pages like the others. But actually, there are a few questions:
- ad 1. As you might have seen most of it has already been done, I believe I removed all *:Deutsch_Dokumentation:* pages and replaced them with *:Documentation:*/de.
- ad 2. I agree that the header with the flags looks nice, I will try and see if I can implement the flags, but I do not see why we need a contribs/SME Server logo on every page, it is already in the left hand corner. The layout is the basic layout from MediaWiki, it can be modified to have a nicer lookout, I am not completely satisfied with this one as well, but first thing for me was to get the login behind it right before modifying looks.
- ad 3. About the category entries, you are free to add multiple Categories in your pages, but I would prefer using at least the Category:Contribs to keep everything to getter there, you could ad a Category:CMS or something to the Joomla page for instance, like done with the Category:Developer_Tools for Trac and Subversion for instance. This way they will also show up in those categories. However extending the categories to much, makes everything worse. For now one to keep all contribs together at one page is enough IMHO.

- Thanks for your comments, your're right, it makes more sense to improve the layout later.
- Regarding the category-question, I also prefer an economic use. Perhaps it would be better to restrict creating of them. Should we not have a clear standard-structure for this? --Dietmar Berteld 10:45, 20 April 2007 (EDT)
Hi Jonathan, sorry for the place, but I want to add and image with a link, and I can't. I used template:click but not work properlly or I don't know how to use.
The image is for sourceforge nominations (I nominated SME of course:)
This is the image: http://wiki.contribs.org/images/9/92/Cca_125x125.jpg
I want to place with a direct link to nominate SME Server at sourceforge in the main spanish area. I think it is a good idea to added at the main english page too.
Thanks

Hi Normando, I also nominated SME Server already, to place the image, it should be something like this:
[[Image: Cca_125x125.jpg]]
which would display as:or
{{Click | image=Cca_125x125.jpg | link=Template:Click | width=125px | height=125px }}
which would display as:If you click on the top image you will be linked to the image, if you click on the bottom image you will be linked to the specified URL (Template:Click) in this case. — Cactus (talk | contribs) 00:09, 12 June 2008 (MDT)
Thanks Jonathan, but I can't insert an external link as http://sourceforge.net/community/cca08-badge?group_id=96750 because not showed correctly in the image. {{Click | image=Cca_125x125.jpg | link=http://sourceforge.net/community/cca08-badge?group_id=96750 | width=125px | height=125px }}
display as:Anyway don't worry, because I want to be SME more popular :)
