See this thread on the discussion forum [1] for more details. I am suggesting that we have a link to further information to a How TO under Chapter 13 software installer.

I think it would be good to add a link to http://wiki.contribs.org/Adding_Software to further explain to the reader how yum works and how to work on repositories and updates; and also to help explain the dangers and benefits of activating repositories. --Uniqsys 12:31, 5 February 2008 (MST)
