The sync sources as described in the [[Sogo]] Installation Guide were created by means of the Funambol Admin interface (remote from a PC). The files that were created were used a the source of the templates we are creating below. The templates allow us to pull in the database password for [[Sogo]] from the [[Sogo]] installation. It assumes that you have installed [[Sogo]] previously.

The SOGo-Funambol documentation describes how to create the '''sogo-cal''', '''sogo-card''' and '''sogo-todo''' sync sources through the Funambol administration tool. There are Windows versions of this tool that can be run from a PC and connect to the Funambol server we just installed.

 

This process creates entries in the funambol database as well as creating a couple of XML configuration files. To allow the SOGo database password to be inserted into these XML files, they are setup below as SME template files.

 

Until we work out how to add the database settings directly into the funambol database, use the funambol-admin tool to create the sync sources as described in the SOGo documentation. Then create and expand the template files as described below to overwrite the XML files with the SOGo database password included.
